First of all, I'll describe the TRUTH here:



1. Not all hardcore gamers can afford or actually own multiple consoles. Just because some play a lot, doesn't mean they usually can afford it.



2. Casual gamers aren鈥檛 limited by what games they can pick. There isn鈥檛 something they buy and things they don鈥檛 buy. This is no different with hardcore gamers.



3. Any game rated M for Mature does not make a game hardcore.



4. Graphics and design doesn't make a game hardcore.



5. For games like Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, people have debated that the game is hardcore or it is casual. A game is a game, and it is up to you what YOU like.



This is simple stuff to figure out. For any gamer that is "Hardcore", gaming is a hobby for them. For "Casual" players, gaming is just one other solution to killing boredom. If someone calls you a Hardcore or Casual player, it doesn't matter. Overall, the only difference between the two is how often a player plays video games.
