Where do gamers go if they want to be a professional gamer?
I've read that gamers can make big bucks if they play professionally out there. Do you know where they should go if they want to pursue this?Where do gamers go if they want to be a professional gamer?You can go the route of Johnathan Wendel (aka Fatal1ty) and join the "Cyberathlete Professional League" and win very large amounts of cash prizes, if that's what you think an ideal career is to you. Although the types of games these "atheletes" play are fps mostly, not your kiddie WoW or Maplestory games.
Be aware though, professional gaming is very, very, very...very demanding on your mind AND body. I certainly don't want to discourage you, but this is a very select occupation and demands the time you need to be involved. Dedicated (albeit even casual) female fps gamers are virtually non-existant, btw. I think your best bet might be meeting girls at school, or parties, or really wherever.. Should I do it or what should I make my guys stats and stuff to make him look good.What is the best type of Halo 3 gamer?godzilla is wrong, if you have 0 exp and 5000 exp, you're probably a booster. it doesn't mean you're good, and it doesn't mean you're bad.it just means you quit out of games. people are often mistaken thinking that 0 exp and negative exp makes you level up faster, but you level up accordingly with the number of games you played. if you want to see if the player is good, look him up at bungie.net. search up the person's name, then hit career stats, and see his kill / Death ratio, to see how good he is. normally a 1.00-1.2 means an O.K. player, while 1.3 to 1.5 means an above average player. 1.5-2.0 means the player is extremely talented but only if he gets about 10 or more kills a game. to see the number of kills per game, just get the total amount of kills and divide it by the number of ranked games. Here's how to see if a person is good.
Kill/death ratio____ kills per game__________good or bad
0-.99______any number of kills per game___bad
1.00-1.2_____10 or more_________________good
1.00-1.2_____less than 10________________bad
1.3-1.5______1-10_______OK

Better shave overall, and I can count on not having to apply for a 2nd mortgage to keep me in disposable blades.
Oh, and you just look better when you're shaving with a straight razor. I mean women like observing you in the act... Why they dig it is the topic of another question, but I've noticed a positive reaction...

Lotus is awesome. I don't have one (yet), but I have a friend who bought a gaming machine from them a few weeks ago and he loves it. He told me he ordered it by emailing them with that custom PC form I linked above. I already got a quote for myself because I plan to get a PC from them soon (a really nice gaming machine around $1500), and I can say those guys are really great. They have some cheap PCs (the Element starts at $400) so I'm sure they can build you something really good for about $1000.
Oh and for the xbox on your monitor thing... I'm not sure, but if the XBOX has DVI connectivity and your monitor also has DVI, it should be fine. DVI cables are expensive, though... at least like $30. I'm getting a new, fast computer soon (yay!). It's the same kind that one of my friends has, and The Sims 2 runs beautifully on his computer. I was playing around with it today and found that I actually do enjoy decorating, changing clothes, and making over my sims on a regular basis when the game actually doesn't freeze up on me. I have all of the expansion packs already, so now my question is, would I enjoy the stuff packs?
When I get my new computer, I will certainly be able to run all the EPs and stuff packs without any trouble, but my friend doesn't have any stuff packs, and I've never played them. What aspects of the game do you have to enjoy in order to find the stuff packs worthwhile? Or are they just not worth it in the first place? While dorming, I played my roommate's Xbox 360 like crazy and beat a few games with it. Now I'm planning to get one of my own, mostly for Fable 3. As for the games themselves -
FPS - Halo, Call of Duty
MMORPGS - Pretty much just world of suckiness
RTS - more variability but fps and mmos dominate pro gaming.
maybe sports games.

I have no idea whether the portability advantage of the laptop will help me out at uni, going to lectures and things, seeing as I am one to take notes with just pen %26amp; paper. On the other hand the desktop is fairly cumbersome but will allow me to have the top specs for a much cheaper price than for a laptop, including things such as SLI/physX setups. Another point is, should I wait until summer (uni starts in Fall) for the Geforce 8 series to be released? And what brand is best for price/performance ratio? I think you should invest in a desktop with the highest performance you can afford. If you can, get a 2nd hand laptop for assignments, etc.

I've ran into people who have modded their controllers and systems and I know this because I've looked at the signs, like why guns shoot faster or their incredible knack for knowing just where you are at that very moment. lol it so true, im a guy and although i dont do it i think guys like to act hard and show off to their mates online because they know there wont be any repercussions, i hear a lot of people being on racist online, i think if they acted that was face to face with a black guy they'd get punched in the face, but online they can do whatever they want. It's really a lose lose situation, but I usually do end up making a lot of friends at the end. It's easier to get into clans too.. lol.
Once I was in my clans.. everyone pretty much left me alone or they 'felt the wrath' .. Especially when they knew I could kick them from their favourite servers.. lol.
To answer your question though, it's because it makes them feel better about themselves.. When they do that, it makes the girl upset, and turns attention to them.. in their mind.. it makes them seem 'cool'. But to me, they're just egotistical jerks. :D
