Where do gamers go if they want to be a professional gamer?

I've read that gamers can make big bucks if they play professionally out there. Do you know where they should go if they want to pursue this?Where do gamers go if they want to be a professional gamer? You can go the route of Johnathan Wendel (aka Fatal1ty) and join the "Cyberathlete Professional League" and win very large amounts of cash prizes, if that's what you think an ideal career is to you. Although the types of games these "atheletes" play are fps mostly, not your kiddie WoW or Maplestory games.

Be aware though, professional gaming is very, very, very...very demanding on your mind AND body. Dedicated (albeit even casual) female fps gamers are virtually non-existant, btw. The term Professional player simply means you get paid for playing. If you look out for LAN events that hold tournaments with prizes then you can compete and become a professional gamer. The two biggest tournaments are CAL and CPL.
