Why do guys in online games always freak out when there's a female gamer playing?

Okay,I was playing Gears of War 2 earlier today,and a whole bunch of guys started hitting on me. It isn't the first time it has happened,either.

lol it so true, im a guy and although i dont do it i think guys like to act hard and show off to their mates online because they know there wont be any repercussions, i hear a lot of people being on racist online, i think if they acted that was face to face with a black guy they'd get punched in the face, but online they can do whatever they want. Plus its quite rare to find a female gamer, i think maybe some guys feel females dont belong in games, there a guy thing, and will try and bover the ones they find because of this.Why do guys in online games always freak out when there's a female gamer playing?Yeah.. I have been gaming online for 11 years now and have always been picked on because I'm a girl.. lol. The thing is, I'm 21 and my voice isn't the most feminine, so I get hit by two different kinds of people.



When I first talk, they think I'm a kid.. so they tell me to 'wait till my balls drop' and come back and play with them. Then when they find out I'm a girl.. I'm told to 'get back in the kitchen'



It's really a lose lose situation, but I usually do end up making a lot of friends at the end. It's easier to get into clans too.. lol.



Once I was in my clans.. everyone pretty much left me alone or they 'felt the wrath' .. Especially when they knew I could kick them from their favourite servers.. lol.



To answer your question though, it's because it makes them feel better about themselves.. When they do that, it makes the girl upset, and turns attention to them.. in their mind.. it makes them seem 'cool'. But to me, they're just egotistical jerks. :D



Maybe there's not many of us, because we don't feel like dealing with all the whining babies and jerks *grins* I dunno. Just slappem around a bit, use your head, that's what I do.Why do guys in online games always freak out when there's a female gamer playing?
Well, I don't, but I know most would. It really shouldn't be any surprising, since there's no crime in doing that.
