What do I need to purchase to start my Wii collection? New gamer?

I want to purchase a Wii for my 2 young children, boy aged 8 and girl aged 14. We are not what you would call "gamers". What should I buy as far as equipment and games? Do the starter kits come with all I need?What do I need to purchase to start my Wii collection? New gamer?My niece and nephew (6 and 8 years old) love

-Mario Kart Wii

-Animal Crossing: City Folk

They're both great games for kids.

I also play Animal Crossing from time to time, it's a cute game. I'm sure your kids will like both games.



Edit: You should also buy "Wii Play" it comes with a game with a bunch of fun mini games (They can both play at the same time) And you also get a wiimote with this game. It's a lot cheaper than buying another wiimote separately.What do I need to purchase to start my Wii collection? New gamer?I would get Mario Kart Wii because it always fun. Um same with Sonic Unleashed, Black Knight or the Secret Rings in case they like Sonic.
