What is better for a casual gamer: PS3 or Xbox 360?

I'm a college student who is a casual gamer. I also don't have any friends that play either of these consoles. The Playstation 3. Even though I prefer the Xbox 360, I recommend you as a college student and 'casual' gamer, a PS3.



Main Reasons:-



- The Playstation has an internet browser so you can use the web on your console.

- An Xbox 360 requires you to pay for subscriptions to play online, on PS3, it's free.



I think the second reason mainly suits you. I thought I might put it down because as you want 'casual'; in order to play online, I don't think y贸u would want to be investing in Xbox Live Memberships, whereas in a PS3 is free, as I mentioned before.What is better for a casual gamer: PS3 or Xbox 360?errr.... well i'd say ps3, i play xbox 360, but i have alot of friends who also have a 360 and two of which i talk to almost everyday over it because they live in england.



ps3 has free online so i guess your not wasting money if your not on it much (xbox 360 costs 拢40 for a year in "pounds" not sure what it is in dollers though, but ps3 costs nothing)

i would vote ps3 if you wanted movies and stuff too (you can play movies on both course lol but you can like download movies on your ps3 for free)
PS3 being only the fact that its FREE online. If you're not going to be playing often but just casually choose the PS3 it has a Blu-Ray player and netflix right on the main screen. xbox 360... we mostly play when we have guests and all the kinect games are a load of fun.. those guests being ppl who don't typically play on their own... but as a group the games are very entertaining

The PS3 is more of a single player console, yeah the online may be free but the connection is lags more than Xbox live. Xbox would probably be your best bet for casual gaming
