I want to buy laptop MSI GX620 and I heard for windows vista gamer edition.I that vista good?I heard for windows vista gamer edition?Vista Gamer Edition? There isn't such a thing. I play games on Vista, they're not a problem. Usually though, if you compare the hardware requirements with the same game between XP and Vista, the Vista reqs will be higher. Its because Vista has so many things running in the background that, for lack of a better phrase, makes it cooler. If you want to game, don't downgrade to almost 10 year old XP, get Vista now if you're in a hurry and upgrade when SE7EN comes out (October 22nd) or just wait until SE7EN comes out.I heard for windows vista gamer edition? If you want to get a new laptop, wait until Windows 7 comes out. Vista is the laggiest piece of crap ever.I heard for windows vista gamer edition? That will be a good laptop for gaming. If you could manage to buy the MSI GT627 instead, it would be better because of the graphics card in it. http://www.amazon.com/MSI-GT627-216US-15鈥?/a> (It's a 9800 GS instead of a 9600 GT.) Since the graphics card in laptops can almost never be replaced/upgraded (as in this case), get the best you can get. They also make a really nice 17" one: http://www.amazon.com/MSI-GT725-074US-17鈥?/a> Same processor as the MSI GX620, but a significantly faster GPU.
Also, you might want to consider the Gateway P-7805u FX http://www.gateway.com/systems/product/5鈥?/a> Acer also has a couple contenders, but they don't seem to use the Nvidia 9800 GS/GT or better. 9600 GT is about as high as they seem to go.

As far as the Vista vs Windows 7 argument, I call "B.S." I upgraded my gaming desktop from Windows XP to Windows Vista 64-bit Ultimate about 7 months ago. I can't tell the difference as far as gaming goes. I think Vista does fine on decent hardware. Vista had issues for about the first year or so, but I haven't had any problems with it. Now, I can see and use all 4 GB of RAM I have as well as apposed to only about 2.8 GB of RAM under Windows XP Professional (32-bit).
I've also tried Windows 7 RC. It's prettier and has a couple nice features that make me want it, but speed/stability isn't one of them. I found it no more or less faster than Vista. In fact, my experience is that they are nearly identical in speed. Most of the system manufacturers (and maybe Microsoft itself) are now offering a free upgrade to Windows 7 for any system purchased with Vista (after some date at least).
