Which computer out of these two are good for decent gaming and browsing? (not hardcore gamer)?

I am looking to buy a computer for about 400$ (Not online) and i found some decent ones on craigslist, i will mainly be using them for gaming and browsing and movies and etc. Im not a harcore gamer so i wont need the best of the best (games like counterstrike and diablo) So here are the two computers i found, can you please tell me if they are worth buying?

1st:

Intel Pentium 4 3.0Ghz (530) Processor with Hyperthreading

Intel 915PGN mainboard (DDR, PCI-e, 4 PCI, onboard audio, LAN, 6 USB, SATA)

Scythe Ninja Rev. B heatsink + 120mm Fan, 2 case fans

1GB (2X512MB dual channel) OCZ EL PC3200 DDR RAM

ATI x850XT 256MB video with Arctic V5 cooler - PCI-Express

LG DVD/CDRW (16x, 16x DL)

450w Power supply

No Hard Drive

$275 OBO, I am planning to buy a good harddrive at like best buy or something and install it.

2nd :

Intel D915PBL motherboard

Intel P4 540 (3.2GHz) CPU

Samsung 120GB HDD

1GB RAM (in dual channel mode)

Radeon X600 256MB V/C (VGA %26amp; DVI)

BenQ DW1640 16x DL DVD Writer

$350Which computer out of these two are good for decent gaming and browsing? (not hardcore gamer)?I would lean towards the second one for a reliable machine.

But #1 for more performance.

The first one, having the aftermarket cooling on both the CPU and GPU strongly suggest the user overclocked those components. This can lead to instability and costly diagnosis issues down the road. They are mostly comparable as far as parts, however, the first one seems to have higher quality components (Memory, for example) The second comes equipped with a hard drive. This is a nice plus.

Hope this helps you decide.

For general browsing, either will work.Which computer out of these two are good for decent gaming and browsing? (not hardcore gamer)?
the first one definitelyWhich computer out of these two are good for decent gaming and browsing? (not hardcore gamer)? You will never build one that cheap off line. Computers are super expensive like at Best Buy or Circuit City. And really expensive at computer stores. Online is the only way to go. I don't shop online with a credit card but only by ebanking. and from tigerdirect or newegg.
