What specific video game characters do you think people should know before being considered a gamer?

Solid snake



Possibly some more, but those are what come to mind right now.

Well technically anyone who plays games regularly is a gamer. And if someone is only into hardcore japanese rpgs and is quite new to gaming they might not know these characters. But i know what you mean, i'd say your list is about right, with maybe cloud, masterchief, Marcus Fenix, Raiden and dante up there too. And now probably sackboy. lol possibly nathan drake, bomber man, banjo, ken and ryu, hoawrang or however u spell his name. These are just the ppl that come to mind.Every gamer should know these characters?I know link is from Zelda, but I've never played any of the games.

Crash Bandicoot.

Spyro the dragon



Both the above characters really belong to the PSone, as recent updates for the games I think aren't so good. They're just childhood favourites of myself however.
