How can i move my gamer points to a new profile in my x box 360?

I got an x box live id but now i dont have the points i did before tht and i cant figure out how to switch em or sumin.How can i move my gamer points to a new profile in my x box 360?i am not sure. what i did is signed in as my profile the signed up for xbox live and it just changed my account name to what i had and upgraded my account to live. then it was all the same except my name, which i changed and my gamertag said live.
