Whats the best operating system for a gamer?

Whats the best operating system for a gamer?Whats the best operating system for a gamer?Check for game compatibility with Windows 7 RC x64. I've seen several sites with listings of games that run without fuss. So far I haven't seen anything that would run on Vista that won't run on 7.Whats the best operating system for a gamer?Right now, it's Vista.Whats the best operating system for a gamer?Vista because it has DirectX 10 support, but this only matters for newer games and higher-end graphics cards. The downside is that Vista has compatibility issues with many older games.Whats the best operating system for a gamer?
It depends on the game requirements and ur current system config.

Vista uses almost arround 600MB of RAM and installing of other softs will also demand use of main memmory.

if u have IGB RAM or bellow i will suggeest XP only.

even if u have 2GB games like GTA IV,CRYSIS etc might show some problems if u use vista even with a graphics card. In this case I will suggest XP.

If u have 3-4GB RAM u can go for vista blindly

and if u want much more fun and stress free gaming u can try vista(or XP) 64BIT versions which supports more than 4GB(up to 250GB i suppose). but 64 bit apps are hard to get and may are not compatible with 64Bit OS

If u have 3-4GB(even though vista recog. only 3.5GB RAM) I strongly suggest VISTA 32bit(ultimate or home premium)

along with XP 64 bit which will use ur complete 4GB RAM so that nothing is left un used.

good luck with ur games........
